Positive Attitude Youth Center is actively monitoring the spread of Coronavirus.  Our number one priority is the safety of our staff and children.

Here is some general information to follow to help us reduce the spread of COVID-19, and be a safe community: 

 

  • If you have symptoms of coronavirus such as fever with cough or shortness of breath, please stay home and call your primary care provider.

  • If you are experiencing acute respiratory symptoms, call 911 or seek immediate treatment.

  • If you have symptoms please notify your primary care provider BEFORE coming to the clinic.

There are things you and your family can do to stay healthy:

  • Wash hands frequently and thoroughly

  • Avoid touching your face

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well.

  • Practice social distancing as recommended by state and local officials.

COVID-19 Financial Resources 

You can receive free emergency child care for April and May 2020 (subject to the availability of funds) if you are an essential worker responding to the COVID-19 crisis, you have an emergency child care need and no other child care options, AND you have a household income below the allowed limit.

 

Please follow these steps in order to request financial assistance for child care:

  1. Download either the PDF (for direct mail) or Word Doc (for email submission)

  1. Complete the forms

  2. Mail the completed docs to: 229 N Graham Hopedale Rd, Burlington, NC 27217 or email them to  positiveattitude@att.net

Free COVID-19 Resources for Parents & Kids

Education technology companies have stepped forward to help educators reach students in virtual ways since many other schools and centers like Positive Attitude have closed for students. In many cases, companies are making their paid services free through the rest of the school year. Some are even lifting limits to services and/or adding premium features to what is free. Here are some of the resources these companies are offering for free to help with online learning, organization, video calling, etc.
